Children's Centre

As part of the second phase of Children’s Centre Development in the County a Full Core Campus Children’s Centre at Greenfields Primary School was achieved by refurbishment of a vacant wing of classrooms. The School already had provision for a 28 Place Full Day Care Maintained Nursery and also provided the extended school agenda through a variety of after school activities.

The total area of the Children’s Centre is circa 300m² with the new accommodation comprising: Foyer and toilets; Reception; Waiting Area; Multi Purpose Space/ Crèche; Interview/ Quiet room; Consultation Room; Staff Facilities; Administration Area; Buggy Store; Cleaners Store and small External Play Area. The Consultation Room used by Health visitors, Midwives, Community Paediatrician, and Therapists delivers a range of child and family health services.

The Multi Purpose Space/Crèche can be partitioned into two discrete areas with the ability to accommodate a range of activities, including: Drop-in sessions for advice, support or information; Healthy living activities; Parents-to-be/ antenatal groups; Young parent’s groups; Parents and toddler sessions; Family learning activities; Back to work training and advice sessions; Meeting space for local childminders; Parenting advice; Out of school activities for school aged children.
