OFFICE REFURBISHMENT

The Eaton Estate at Chester, like so many rural estates around the Country, is host to a variety of traditional farm buildings that no longer have a viable agricultural use. Located within a conservation area, this attractive small range of stables, pig sties and feed store had languished empty or underused for a considerable period.

We were asked to design a sympathetic conversion to bring these buildings back into commercial use. Our design provides a thoroughly modern office space for a prestige investment business whilst retaining aspects of the buildings’ previous agricultural use.

The principle was firmly supported by the Local Plan Policy and the Council’s planning and conservation teams were pleased with our low-key and consistent conservation approach to the detailing of the scheme.
